Deleting contacts

Hey! I have around 24000 contacts in my iCloud Contact library, because it is somehow duplicating, when I try to edit one of them. I would like to start over, but I unfortunately can't because my computer can't process to delete all of them. Even if I delete them in smaller groups it looks like they are coming back?

Can someone help me?
