Why doesn’t my Payment Method work

when I started to download apps, it started to ask me for my password instead of my face ID. I didn’t think anything of it until it asked me for my payment of method and asked me to Re-enter my information but it says failed. When I try to remove this payment method into add it again, It tells me there’s live subscriptions on the card even though I cancelled them. It now won’t allow me to download anymore apps. please help. I just want Depop.

If you are unable to remove a payment method, see If you can't remove a payment method from your Apple ID

  1. See if you have a subscription
  2. Turn off purchase sharing
  3. Pay an unpaid balance


When your payment method is declined follow If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store.


If you need to have a payment method on file, add a new payment method first then remove the other one Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods.
