eSim and Reuse question

If I activate an eSim and later on reset the phone with option to not retain the activation, will I end up with 8 eSims again or 7? Physical sims cannot be re-used between carriers so they are mostly dumped if changing carriers. do eSIMs allow a reset??

Again as an example: - I use 3 eSims during the course of my use, I factory reset after 3 years removing any plans on the phone and sell the phone, would the next user have 8 eSims again available to him or her or 7 please?

Hello, anupfromcary.

This article explains how eSIMs work: About eSIM on iPhone - Apple Support. Some carriers may assign an eSIM to a iPhone; others may set up a new eSIM for a iPhone when it is used.

For specific questions about how wireless carriers handle multiple SIM requests on a device, we would suggest reaching out to the carrier you wish to inquire about the policies for how that is done with them. That's not something created by Apple.
