Ever since upgrading to the iPhone 14 Pro Max from my old iPhone 12 Pro, my icon for my iPhone backup is missing and I've deleted and started iCloud back-ups again but the same thing appears.

PLEASE Reply if anyone else has this issue. also I transferred my data from the cloud to my iPhone 14 Pro Max and then updated to 16.0.1 with my iPhone connected to my MacBook Pro.
This is probably not going to make you feel better, but when I set up my iPad Air 3 a couple of years ago, I saw the same thing in my Manage Storage settings in iCloud.
I stressed about it for about a week. I found no way to make the correct icon appear in this particular setting. What I did find was that the icon had nothing to do with the device backing up properly as your phone appears to be doing as well.
I hope for your sake, that the correct icon will eventually appear, but as long as your phone is backing up and everything else works OK, you needn’t stress about it.

Bc I just spoke with Apple and they did a screen share and told me that it’s a known issue now and I could possibly get rid of it now if I put my iPhone in recovery mode while attached to my computer and restored from a computer backup and then start iCloud backup again. But he said to just wait….
Sorry, I’ve been out for a while. I’m not so sure that I would erase and restore a backup over this issue. I would give it some time and see if it resolves itself. You can always do that down the road.
The icon is missing in the iCloud backups. Look at the attached picture for reference.
