Dearest Apple Product Managers and Engineers ... have you ever heard of Two Factor Authentication, or 2FA? You know, where the system you're logging into sends a text to your phone to verify you are the one actually logging in?
If not, I would go read about that and try to understand how that impacts this feature. Since you lack the ability to think through your use cases here is a use case you clearly missed in your design.
I'm a Product Manager at Apple that owns the Text Message Module
- I log into my Apple issued Laptop
- I open an enterprise app and it requires I log into the app on my laptop
- Said app implements 2FA, so it sends a text to my iPhone with a code
- I enter that code and I now have access to the apple enterprise app from my apple issued laptop
- I now delete the 2FA text message
- IT ASKS EVERYTIME IF I WANT TO 'REPORT JUNK'
Now, you geniuses may not have this apparatus setup at Apple, but the rest of the work from home crowd do ... so you should do one of the following:
- Provide a way to DISABLE IT
- Learn from instances where I select "Not Junk"
- Or both...
There, I just did your job for you ... now go make it happen and stop assuming iPhone customers ONLY USE iPhones the way you do.
