Turning off Icloud Sharing

Hi! I have a phone that does not have enough memory. I deleted my photos off of my phone, but my iCloud backup put everything back on the phone. Anyway....if I turn off the iCloud sharing on my phone, will it delete the photos that are already on my iCloud? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I still have a lot to learn with Apple products. Thank you!

Greetings Ccardot,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Once you disable iCloud Photos on your iPhone, only the photos deleted from the device will be removed. The photos still in iCloud will remain. Now, if you have iCloud Photos enabled on the iPhone, and delete them from the iPhone, they delete in iCloud also. Get more info on using iCloud Photos here:
