After pressing the down volume & menu button to reset a run away lowering volume, it is now constantly blinking the "pairing remote" message constantly on the screen. This all happened after updating the firmware on my Onkyo AVR TX-NR696. It's like to remote is sending out constant communication of sorts. The reset fixed the volume issue but created the remote pairing issue. The remote actually works though.
