HomePod (original) is stuck on "configuring" in Home app after updating to 16.0

Any suggestions on how to resolve issue with HomePod stuck on configuring after updating to 16.0?

Thanks for responding back.

I removed it from the home app and from my iCloud, and re-added it back in to the home app, it shows up in iCloud. I have also since, unplugged it and let it restart, closed the home app, restarted the iPhone, iPad and iMac. This has been in this state now for 3 days, so I would have thought it would have finished it setup. The HomePod still works, plays music, but does not take any siri commands, etc. Will keep waiting for it to finish hopefully.
