Just got the 27" studio display. Terrible flicker

I just purchased the 27" studio display to connect to my 2021 MacBook Pro. I started editing an image in Photoshop and terrible flickering. Sometimes a dark grey band goes across the image. The flickering is happening every few seconds.

thank you for any help

You can try going to the Preferences of Photoshop, then Technology Previews & enable the option to Deactivate Native Canvas. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

For me it works!

Wow, thank you, I just never would have found that or made the connection between crazy flicker in Photoshop on the 27" Apple Studio Display, particularly on mouse scroll, and that preference.

So yes, worked for me too.

Thanks again. Saved me a long call to Apple support who doubtless would have pointed me to Adobe, who wouldn't have answered at all!

Hmnn, I tried that, (unplugging and re-plugging) and changing the cable (which I have discovered makes the difference between an HP ZBook mobile workstation being able to drive the Apple Studio Display - works with an HP cable, fails with what looks like a better cable made by Apple that comes with the display).

It made zero difference for me on my MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max.

Liverson108's method seems to have worked for me.
