iPhone OS 16 shuffled wallpaper show in all photos

Hi,

Love the option to show shuffled wallpaper on my lockscreen and home screen now in iOS 16, but when I see a photo I want to send to someone I can’t find an option to view it in Photos. Usually in the Photos app if you look at a memory or featured photo you can long press to view in all photos, or view that day. Does anyone know if there’s an option I’m missing or is this not an option?

All the best,

Joel

Greetings Neyüm,

There isn't a way to access the photo in your library from the wallpaper on your iPhone. You're welcome to submit feedback to Apple with your thoughts on this feature at the following website:

Kind regards.

Greetings Neyüm,

To confirm, it sounds as though you're wanting to locate the photo in the Photos app. To confirm, did you choose the "Use Featured Photos" option? If so, are you unable to locate the photo in question via the Featured album in the Photos app? If so, when you tap a photo in the Featured album, you'll be able to see the date and time the photo was taken at the top of the screen. If you want to view all the photos that were taken that day, tap All Photos towards the top-right of the screen to be direct there. These steps are also listed below.

  1. Tap the desired photo in the Featured album.
  2. Tap All Photos towards the top-right.

Take care!

Hi, no I didn’t use the Use Featured Photo option. The only limitation I added was when photos of people’s faces are used it is limited to specific people. But as those people are my kids I have thousands of photos of them so that doesn’t help me find the specific one that appears in the wallpaper unfortunately!

I’m assuming from this response that you don’t know of a way to do this from the Lock Screen interface?
