How do I get my iPhone to ring instead of my Watch?

Why in the world would I want my iPhone to STOP notifying me of calls and texts just because I have an Apple Watch?? I have many custom ring and text tones assigned to contacts, and I want to hear them all via my iPhone. In fact, I would love to get NO notifications on my Watch at all!

If I have Bluetooth on or if I have my iPhone cellular available to my watch, the watch takes over my notifications and phone calls and rings in to my watch, and silences my iPhone. Even when my watch is in the opposite side of my home on a charger. I miss phone calls and text messages, because I can’t hear my watch from that distance. Even when I turn off Bluetooth it still goes to my watch, only when I turn off the watches availability to my iPhones cellular, and I go into my iPhone control center and take it off silent mode does my iPhone then ring for phone calls or send me sound with a notification.

Text notifications when using Apple watch Has Apple come up with a way to allow text notifications sounds on iPhone when using Apple Watch? It is embarrassing to miss friends texts and I have stopped using my Apple Watch because of this design flaw. Am I missing something?

How do I get custom text tones on watch, like on my phone? And how do I still get those notifications on phone while wearing watch? Finally bought my first Apple Watch! I like it, but I hate that I don’t know who’s messaging me when I get a text message notification. With the iPhone, I set up ppl with custom text tones so I know who’s texting me when I hear the notification. Now, whenever I’m wearing the watch, my iPhone doesn’t notify me with a tone anymore. How can I turn on text notifications for both watch and phone, since it looks like I can’t customize text tones on the watch? (I like that when someone’s calling me, both the watch and my iPhone rings…how do I do that with text messaging)
