Old macbook pro Os

I got an old macbook pro with el capitain osx from a friend and i deleted the disk to clean all his data. When i try to reinstall elcapitain it accepts only his login data and with my login data i get that i don't have a OSX in my account. What am i doing wrong please?????

I upgraded to Sonoma 14 on my macbook air with M1 processor. Now it asks my name and password but wont accept it. I upgraded my apple macbook air to Sonoma 14. When I wanted to login it asked for name and password. I typed it in but the macbook does not accept it. Now I have no access to my computer and files.

user password lost during migration from mac to mac Just migrated from an old mac to mac air. Migration is complete. I can not access my user account . The password does not work on the new mac. No matter how many tries it does not offer any recovery options. The password works fine on the old mac though. What can i do?
