iPhone 14 Pro Max iMessage unsuccessful activation issue

Okay so I’m gonna try and not make it too long but if I do, I apologize. So today I decided to make the switch from T-Mobile to Verizon and purchased iPhone 14 Pro Max. The porting in process at the store seemed like it was “success” only to find out later today it wasn’t. I had somebody from porting department on the phone call to help with this and after many failed attempts to put in the pin transfer number from T-Mobile to Verizon to work and, at last, it worked. I was told that the pin transfer pin was success and it would’ve be fine by then. So, I would have to turn it off and on by tomorrow around noon, to have the number to work on my new phone with new service. At this moment at 11:14 PM, it’s still giving me activation unsuccessful, turn on iMessage to try again. Does anyone have this similar issue? Does anyone have a solution to this? Thank you!

To activate iMessage and FaceTime using your Phone number

First, check to know whether you have an SMS plan enabled at least for One SMS with your carrier. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider) the agency that issued the SIM to you

If your iPhone is used with a carrier not found in the wireless carrier articles, make sure you can send and receive international SMS. (One SMS Only)

I am in this exact scenario where i ported from T-Mobile to Verizon and got the iPhone 14 pro. I was on the phone with Verizon tech support where we troubleshooted it. It did not work and I had to call apple support and submit a ticket with them. As of right now, the new update, IOS 16.0.1 does not fix the issues for everyone and I am assuming apple is working on another patch for the next week from what I have been reading. Unfortunately it seems like we are in limbo for now waiting for this bug to get fixed.

I had this same issue. it showed my phone number checked, secondary was spinning, and my Apple ID checked. no one from the carrier support nor apple support could help. I decided to delete my secondary eSIM card. I did a reboot and reset network settings. a hour later it was active. I do not know if it is right, but that was the only way I could get it activated.
