After update to IOS 16 social media apps What’s app, Facebook etc turned into dark theme and not reverting back, pl advise.
2ndly phone immediately heated while using YouTube only , rest ok

Thanks for the reply. To double-check, have you looked at the settings for each of the apps yet? Some apps have their own settings for dark and light modes.
Also, under Settings > Display & Brightness, we recommend checking a few settings to see if they could be a factor. Is True Tone on? Also, do you have the "Appearance" set to automatic, or is it set to Light mode? Adjust the screen brightness and color on iPhone - Apple Support

Simple solution is to reset all setting to default,
issue will be resolved
Thanks for kind attention however after advised steps matter still not resolved. Also light mode option further fade the colours of mobile and apps. Dark mode is working OK
