I have an iPad Pro 9.7" 1st Gen. I was wondering if it supports data transfer from SD card or flash drives via ANKER hubs or alikes. Could I transfer photos from my camera stored on an SD card to my iPad Pro by purchasing an external hub?

If your iPad has a Lightning port, to connect USB devices, you must use the Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter:

You will not be able to connect a USB-C hub to your iPad via Lightning. With the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, you’ll not be able to connect to a downstream USB-C hub/host controller.

Does it work with 3rd-party hubs such as ANKER ? Because I tried it with the Anker 541 USB-C Hub + USB-C-lighting adapter to connect to my ipad although it's not working. I'm running iPadOS 14.8.1. Could that be the issue ?
