Timer countdown on iOS 16

It now shows up and looks more like a notification. It has a big honkin' Stop and Pause button integrated into it (that is WAY too easy to accidentally hit). I have TWICE now accidentally stopped the timer because of this. And if you stop it, you have no idea how far along it was. So I'm not a big fan of this new timer display on the lock screen.

It's back now! It must be a bug of some kind ...

My timer countdown was absent, too. But then it came back on the lock screen after a little poking around in the Settings (but finding nowhere to switch it on). I also did two restarts and started a new timer, and then boom! There it was back on the lock screen.

Does for me.. along with a different look and ability to pause or stop the timer.. I've got a 13 pro.
