Another battery life question

I’ve recently updated my iPhone 6 to the latest release after a long period of not updating but having quite good battery performance ( certainly 24+ hours).

I did the upgrade on apple’s recommendation following a security vulnerability.

The battery life has fallen off a cliff

it can go from 50% to 1% in 20 mins

its crazy.

As an aside the life has gone UP while typing this from 8 to 31% whilst typing this (and no, it’s not on charge)

Any useful suggestions would be welcomed

Thx

iPhone 6, iOS 11

See if you can check Battery Health on your phone

Settings > Battery > Battery Health

If the battery capacity is less than 80%, the battery needs to be replaced.

If you have never replaced the battery, it is also time to replace it.
