Can I change the aspect ratio of my screen?

Hello! I am using an iPhone Xs Max, with the little camera inlet at the top, and I’m wondering if I can change the aspect ratio of my screen or if there’s some other option that will make the area at the top around the inlet nonfunctional to resemble older iPhone models.

Many apps are still not compatible with the screen’s current shape, and often have issues loading content in the correct (and accessible) places. Example screenshots attached.

(you can’t really tell in this screenshot, but the blue button on the left with the 5 under it is partially obscured by the black inlet)
