Iphone pro max action mode on 0.5x low quality

When recording a video on action mode, on 0.5x, it’s like recording on 480p and even worse but when I change to 1x or higher, all factores the same, it gets better as I expect from iphone’s camera. Could it be manufacturing issue or a bug?

After iOS 18.2 update, Major Camera Issue on iPhone 16 Pro Max After upgrading to iOS 18.2, I'm experiencing major camera app issues on iPhone 16 Pro Max. While using the telephoto (5x) camera while recording in 4K60FPS, there is massive jitter (video is shaking back and forth on the screen) when recording videos. Luckily this jitter aka "shakiness" does not appear in the saved (MOV) file. Regardless, it's very unsettling to experience this issue, especially since I bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max to record professional (cinema-grade) quality videos. I have tried the beta versions of iOS and doing a complete (factory) reset of the device, but to no avail. My iPhone 15 Pro Max that I've carefully prevented upgrading to iOS 18 is not experiencing any issues.

iPhone 14 Blurry Video Recording I recorded a long video using my iPhone 14 and when I played it back, the focus adjusted about 7 minutes in and the entire picture became blurry for the remainder of the video. There were no changes I noticed that occurred at that moment of adjustment, like the camera position changing. It just seemed to become blurry for no apparent reason. I tried to search online for other instances of this occurring but only found people stating videos were recorded as blurry from the start or appeared blurry after being sent or received. Is there a reason a video becomes blurry right in the middle of it?

Hello M_hadi,

On iPhone 14 models, Action mode provides improved stabilization while recording in Video mode. Tap the Action Mode Off button at the top of the screen to turn Action mode on and The Action Mode On button to turn it off.

Note: Action mode works best in bright light. If you want to use Action mode in lower light, go to Settings > Camera > Record Video, then turn on Action Mode Lower Light. Action mode has a maximum capture resolution of 2.8K.
