Stolen iPhone

I had a sealed iPhone 12 (ordered) stolen from my porch. I was wondering if there is any way it can be tracked once it is turned on or used through serial or Imei by police as I know apple cannot through my research on this thread. This is in Canada if that at all matters? Will Best Buy block the phone or black list it? I’m not too familiar with iPhone I still love my 7. Also don’t ask why a 1000 package is just left on porch makes zero sense
