Calendar recurring events

I have an Apple iPad 6th generation. Software version is set to automatically update, and is at 15.6.1 right now.

Is there a way to stop a repeating event from drawing a line across the entire week without entering each day? In my example, I was trying to enter a single type of event, that had a custom repeat of every Tues. and Thursday, 3 hours each time, for 3 months.

This problem has not changed, even though I have seen similar experiences entered in different forums. It seems like no matter if I update an event, start a new one, or enter a single day of the week, as soon as I enter it as a repeating event, a long line obliterates every other event I have entered, and essentially takes over the calendars screen.

I would appreciate any suggestions the forum can offer. I have some experience working in a large government office but have been out of the working community for 6 years. When I was still working, I was part of a work group which developed a patient record, a network across different sites, as well as had a small part in setting up a confidential client record.

I am frustrated with the lack of attention to this detail for the average person. I know I have been out of the swing of things, but is there a step by step fix for this? I searched the community and Apple suggestions soon after I got this iPad. I gave up hoping Apple and the support community would fix the problem. It is still not fixed.

Any ideas or step by step directions would be appreciated.

ONe way could be to make the appointment for Tuesday and set the repeat, then make a different one for Thursday and set the repeat and as two separate events they should not span days.

If you use the exchange and it syncs to your work computer you could also make a repeating event on your PC which may have the repeat you like and the ipad should respect that.
