Moving from USA to Canada

Bought a new phone from apple.com, but now i am headed to Canada for a year. Will my cellphone work? Are all iphones unlocked?

If you bought the phone from Apple.com and did not finance it with a carrier it is unlocked. You can check by going th Settings/General/About and see what it says for Carrier Lock.
