Losing sound when using wireless headphones

I recently downloaded IOS16 from apple and now when I cast a movie to my Sony Bravia TV from my IPhone I lose sound from my headphones but the sound comes from IPhone. Any fixes?

Wired headphone problems So lately I’ve been trying to use my headphones to do things like listen to music, take calls, etc… And I’ve found that when there is no audio output my iPhone XR will show that headphones are connected, but after a few seconds of media playing through the headphones the phone will automatically switch to loud speaker, without pausing the media like it usually would. I have the apple wired headphones so there’s no cross branding, and everything was fine a couple of days ago. is there a way to fix this? is this a problem on apple’s end? will the world be taken over by toast? we may never know…

Wired headphones not working on iPad 9th gen but fine on iPhone I have an Ipad 9th generation running latest ios 18.2.1, that the headphones have no volume, either through the headphone jack or through lightning adapter to the headphones. The same headphones work fine, using the lightning adapter on my iphone SE3 …so, it’s not the headphones. In fact, I got a second headphone set, and they work on the iPhone, but not the ipad. I have AppleCare+ on the ipad until Summer 2026, but am hoping there is a setting that I don’t know about? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Philips fidelio headphone does not connect I have a Philips fidelio l3 headphone which connects to my apple 8 but not to my more recent Apple TV 4K or an apple 13. Nor does it connect to my old iPad. When opening the Bluetooth connection it just fails to appear on the devices list. It’s a quite recent headphone and sort of high end so you don’t expect it not to not connect to an apple product. I posted this question at Philips but they just refer to apple. Anyone got any ideas about causes or solutions?

Hello,

Try this:

1) Open the Control Center

2) Long press on the music controls

3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)

4) Select your-TV
