How many eSIM profiles can I add onto an iPad?

I understand that we are able to add more than 1 eSIM profile on the iPad, but were unable to find any supporting document that says explicitly how many eSIM profiles. Does anyone know how many and where is the official note from Apple on this?

I know that it says clearly that iPhones with eSIM support can hold up to 8 eSIM profiles at anytime (Max 2 active lines). No clarification about iPhones though.

Grateful for any help on this!
