How to 'save' a home movie DVD on my Mac

1. I made a movie using iMovie 09.
2. I burned several copies on to DVDs
3. I removed the movie from my HD (lots of issues, too much to tell)
4. I want to put the movie back into my Mac HD but all I seem to be able to do is play the movie. I see no menu items and even right clicking doesn't give me a 'save' option.

No genius here, any help needs to be in easy language :-)) Thanks much!

Hi there,
I'm quite sure there are no menu items to "save" a DVD.

As far as my knowledge goes, I believe you now need a DVD "ripper" software product. Do some googling to find one. There are some free ones out there. I actually paid for and use Wondershare DVD ripper. It was about $39 and is very good. I can't recommend a free one as I have not used one.

Good luck!
