What does it mean if I keep getting the following message: "com.apple.iCloudHelper wants to use the "login" keychain."?

Hey there GR Red Wings Fan,

With the limited details provided, it sounds like the message is asking to possibly login using autofill with data stored within iCloud Keychain, but we're only guessing at this point. Where exactly are you seeing this message, and when does it show? The more details you provide us, the better we'll understand what's happening.

In the meantime, we recommend confirming a few basics from your Mac:

  1. If you have a compatible Mac model, the latest version is macOS 12.6. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. This link will show how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.
  2. Does the same issue occur if you try a restart? Check out the section 'Restart' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
  3. Have you noticed other devices that are using the same Apple ID for iCloud showing this message while performing the same actions as on your Mac?

Cheers!
