I receive so many verifications that I do not want to keep those messages but have to make multiple clicks / steps to get rid of a message now. with the updated IOS 16 when I click on the delete button it now takes me to "report junk". If I wanted to report the junk I would click on that button. This is a little annoying that have to do another click to delete something (this is a step backwards for apple)

I usually slide the message to the left in the inbox quickly to delete, or more slowly and select delete.
I agree that there are way too many clicks buttons to press when you delete a text. You have to verify that you want to delete the text and then you have to verify if you want it to be reported as junk or not. After of course, you’ve already swiped it to the side to say that you want to delete it. It’s three actions for one thing that you want to do. I have suggested and suggestions that they make this a feature, but you can turn off so that you can just delete a text with one action at a time. There are a lot of text that I get from friends or family or even businesses that I want to continue to get but I do not want to retain in my messages because I have so many messages that I can’t keep on top of.
yes I do the same thing, but with IOS 16 it now asks to "report junk" or not ... I want to stop this feature from asking me to "report junk". If I want to report a message to junk I would individual report a message to junk and not have to click on this button every time I delete a message that is not in my contacts
What can we do? It is the worst feature —at least for now. I usually do select and check the messages but now?
