I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with the 2x USB ports. I have a CF card in my camera and a culti-card to USB 2.0 adapter. I used to plug the CF card into the adapter and plug the adapter into my 2011 MacBook Pro and the card would get read. With my 2015 MBP, though, the adapter does not work. What gives? Any help is appreciated.

See if Disk Utility recognizes the presence of the CF reader and CF card media. If it’s an unsupported media format used, the CF card won’t mount and won’t show from the desktop. You can also check for vendor drivers, though I would not expect a CF reader to need those. Try a different CF card reader.
