I really really need to fall back to iOS 15+ from iOS 16 upgrade because the upgrad destroyed app audio to MFI hearing devices and it is no fun losing music! Problem is as soon as I downgrade iPhone does a forced upgrade back to the defected iOS version I don't want. Is there something I can do to prevent iPhone from forcing upgrade after I down grade?

That is not possible by any legal means if you updated over the air.
You could have turned off automatic updates in settings, nobody forced you to ignore that option, however you cannot restore to 15 nor should you need to. ios16 works fine on all iphones from iphone 8 upwards
I finally talked to someone at Apple Support, and they said this is a confirmed bug and hope to have a new iOS 16 release in 2-3 weeks.
So I guess I need a new phone with iOS 15+ still installed. What a mess.
You may not find a new one that doesn't update on setup.
Too late now but public beta of ios16 was available for some weeks to try out.
