Best web browser for older Mac I have a 2013 Mac that is running Sierra 10.12.6. Safari was working fine until a couple months ago, now I am running into issues where I can't use certain sites and can't watch videos. I have google chrome but it makes my computer slow and I just got a notice that I will no longer be able to update it with 10.12.6. So my question is what is the best web browser I can use with my older Mac? I would like for it to be free, secure, fast and not use a lot of memory as I usually have multiple tabs open at one time. if it comes with a good bookmark manager that would also be a plus. I see that I can download older versions of certain browsers, but I read that this is not a good idea since the updates are necessary for security purposes. It is becoming increasingly difficult for me to conduct basic research so any sites you can refer me to with this info or help you can offer would be much appreciated, thanks!

Alternative browser to Safari Hi, I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011), which runs MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Safari 13.1.2. It is not possible update the system any more. Until a couple of month ago, I was able to access almost everything with Safari. Then I started to have issues, for example with my bank website and even with Youtube. So I was forced to look for an alternative browser. I tried Avast Secure Browser, but I found it a bit too intrusive. Then I tried Google Chrome, but it was too heavy for my system, which kept on freezing. At tthe end I decided to ask the community. Sure of your help i thank you in advance

Try different browsers and select the one that best meets your needs.

on my day to day Mac, I don't personally use anything besides safari as that is my preference. but I have an obsolete MacBook on which safari won't load most pages because it is so far out of date. I tried a couple different browsers on it. Firefox is what I finally landed on. it feels the fastest on that hardware.
