How do I connect to a Windows 10 pc from my macOS Sierra?

I got as far as asking for the username and password.

If I log on the Windows 10 with a Microsoft account, don't I put the email in as the name of the account? On my other macOS Monterey, it is logged on, and it says on Finder what name I'm logged in as, and it's not my Microsoft account email. I also use a pin for to log in to my Windows 10 account.

I'm already doing what I want to do with my Mac Pro running macOS Monterey. If I want to access files on the Windows 10 pc from my Mac mini, then I don't think I have to set up file sharing on the Mac mini.

I think the problem is the login when I try to connect from my Mac mini to my Windows 10 pc. Do I have to type something before the user name then a slash or back slash, then the user name?

How do I check on my Mac Pro how I'm logged in to the Windows 10 PC. Is there a way for me to see?
