damaged music libraries

I have a large music library on an external drive (mini Mac). I am sharing it with my other Macs and when I go to choose library, I keep getting that the library is damaged and it resaves the library as Music Library (damaged) (damaged)

I now have 3 damaged music libraries and none that will open. How do I install a new music library?

I've copied the full library from the old Mac to an external disc and I'm trying to point the new Mac towards the iTunes Library.itl file to import the library. All that happens however is a spinning circle and "Loading", going nowhere. I've looked at the structure of the folder and it seems normal - I've never had it split between locations. (I've also tried deleting the existing Music folder and replacing it with the old one - Music opens up and asks me to choose a library, but this doesn't even result in the loading circle, it just doesn't work at all.) Moving iTunes library to external drive I began to move my library to an external drive. I believe I copied over all the files but the library that opens is the library from 2015. The music folder is very messy with individual music files among a iTunes and iTunes1 folder. I used the itl file from that one but it seems to be from an earlier file. Do I need to take the unit into an Apple store for in person help?

Apple Music stops after playing 2 songs from my library Any ideas why Apple Music - on a MacBook Pro M1 running macOS Monterey 12.4 consistently stops after playing 2 tracks from my library? Ie not streaming but playing songs I have saved on my laptop in Apple Music? After 2 tracks, the music stops playing, the name of the first track still appears at the top as if it is still playing and I need to click the skip track button to restart the music - after doing this there are no further issues and tracks play continuously. The problem occurs again after I restart Apple Music, start playing a different playlist etc

See Empty/corrupt iTunes/Music library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community. Look for .tmp files inside the .musiclibrary package. One might be a valid Library.musicdb file.
