I have a brand new apple watch SE with brand new iPhone 13. During set-up for the watch, after saying device paired, choose wrist left or right, the iPhone app then displays "unpairing watch" and goes back to the beginning. I've reset the watch and am completely beflummoxed.

To help troubleshoot, update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS, restart your iPhone and Apple Watch, and then test the behavior. If asked if you want to update the Apple Watch during the pairing process, select the option to not update.
