No way for us to know. Why did you subscribe to it in the first place? It doesn’t get activated on its own. You need to select and confirm the subscription.

If you are using less than 5GB, then you can cancel it if you want to. Link-> Downgrade or cancel your iCloud+ plan - Apple Support

You can cancel it. If you do not need iCloud Storage then you can cancel the subscription by dropping it to the free version.

To do this, open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ iCloud ➡️ Manage Storage ➡️ Change Storage Plan ➡️ Downgrade Options ➡️ To cancel iCloud+, choose the free 5GB plan or choose None.

If you downgrade or cancel your iCloud+ plan, the change takes effect after your current subscription billing period ends.
