2 step verification on ipad 1

hi. I just bought an iPad 1 cellular. It is running iOS 5.1.1. Sometime during setting it up, I think I must've messed up my password somehow. Now when I try to fix it, I need a recovery key. But I don't know any recovery keys. how do I fix this?

If you can sign in, you can try to generate a Recovery Key. If you can't recover it, you can't reset the password so you can access the account.
