When I was at my chinese school, I connected to the guest wifi there, and when I got home both my facetime and message were signed out. when I try signing back in, it takes hours to load, then it says "unable to contact facetime server". I tried restarting, signing out completely from my apple id, etc. when I go into settings and select facetime or message, it just freezes and shows verifying and my email. this has been going on for almost 4 days. Does anyone have a solution?

Some things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a forced restart. See the section towards the end of the article.

Reset Device. -

If necessary

Hard reset.     -

Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from the backup.

Restore to Factory setting.      *

Restore - If you see an error when you update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.   *

Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.     *
