microsoft teams audio on iphone 14

I am having audio issues on Microsoft Teams on my iPhone14 pro on iOS 16.01 using air pods pro. While on calls the audio is full of static and the audio cuts out. I have checked for Teams app update, verified all settings, etc. I did not have this issue on my iPhone12 pro on iOS16 so I can only assume it hardware related.

Anyone else with a similar issue and have a fix? I am about to install iOS16.1 beta 2 to see if that helps.
