Unicode Characters showing up as boxes

There are several unicode symbols that I have been trying to access that continuously only show up as boxes, including when reading text online. I have downloaded the Unicode Hex Input Keyboard but it only gave me some characters, not all of them. Is there a way to download ALL unicode characters? It's getting very irritating not being able to use or read the additional unicode symbols.

A computer can only display the characters which are included in its installed fonts. If you will provide info (hex codes or pictures) of the ones you are missing, we can probably tell you whether you need to download an extra font and where to find it,.
