Airdrop
Is there a way to use AirDrop on a MacBook Pro with El Capitan and a 2006 iMac running 10.6.8. With a couple of Macs using Catalina and Monterey just to exchange files? Thanks in advance.

No. AirDrop is only available on 10.7 or newer... If you depend on Appleworks or other 10.6.8 only and earlier compatible software, use Apple menu -> System Preferences ->Sharing to share your files with newer systems. While not as elegant as Air Drop, it works on the same principles.
