i bought a phone and it is locked i need the apple id and the person i got the phone from just completely ghosted me so now its looking like i am at a loss

is there anything i can do to get past this so that i can use the phonoe i paid for..

Can I factory reset an iPhone without the Apple ID password? Good day, I recently bought a second hand Iphone from a pawnshop upon checking the apple ID and other accounts have not been log out yet, I tried turning on the erase all data option that after 10 attempts will erase the phones data but I failed to realize that it would need the apple Id and password of the previous owner for it to proceed, is there anything else I can do to reset the phone or can I go on a store for them to reset the phone, I'm really at my wits end here, please help. iPhone 14 Pro is blocked I bought iphone 14 pro ,,and the owner died. The phone is 1 year closed and I try everything ,I call apple,they told me if the person didn't left me phone in the will they could not help me,the phone is not on black list but noone can tell me where whose bought so I may go there to give me copy of receive. So now I have new phone,worked one month than closed and I can't even change the motherboard becouse noone can tell me for sure that it gonna work. Please if someone had similar experience,what could I do. This photo appears when I insert serial number if iphone have icloud on. [Edited by Moderator]

If you can't reach the previous owner whose ID is on the device and have them go to https://www.icloud.com/find/, erase the device, then remove it from their account, then the device is useless. Apple won't unlock it.
