How to change the apps that display on Focus-specific Wallpaper?

I am loving the new feature that allows you to specify a Lock Screen/wallpaper combo for your various Focus modes. Business-specific apps and a clutter-free Lock Screen during the workday and fitness-tracking apps while working out are genius!

However, I'm struggling to understand how to change the apps that display on these wallpapers. For instance, on my Workout Focus, I have a widget at the top that shows where my rings are, but below that widget, I have the Fitness app and I want to remove it. It's redundant, and I have another app I'd like to put in its place.

In the Settings, I'm able to choose different app pages, but not update the list of apps on the Focus wallpaper. From the Lock Screen customization, I can change the background color, but again--the option to "swap" apps is not there. I'd really like to not have to start over from scratch to create the Focus Lock Screen/Wallpaper again. What are my options?

Hi brandnewrock22,

To change the widgets on your Lock Screen, even for a Focus Lock Screen, follow How to add and edit widgets on your iPhone:

  1. "Touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears, then tap Customize.
  2. Tap the box above or below the time to see the widgets that you can add to your Lock Screen.
  3. Tap or drag the widgets that you want to add.
  4. Tap Done.

If there’s not enough room for a new widget, you can tap the Remove button to remove a widget and make room for the one you want to add."

You should see all widgets available. Some apps might not have a widget.

Take care.

Hi brandnewrock22,

We understand that you simply want to edit the apps on the Home Screen used with Focus. You can edit the way the apps show.

Touch and hold any app or widget on the Home Screen, then tap Edit Home Screen.
The apps begin to jiggle.
Drag an app to one of the following locations:
Another location on the same page
Another Home Screen page
Drag the app or widget to the right edge of the screen. You might need to wait a second for the new page to appear. The dots above the Dock show how many pages you have and which one you’re viewing.

When you’re finished, press the Home button (on an iPhone with a Home button) or tap Done (on other iPhone models).

You can find these and steps to reset the Home Screen in Move apps and widgets on the Home Screen on iPhone.

Regards.

Hi--it's not the widgets I'm having trouble with, it's the apps themselves. If you delete an app from a Focus screen by pressing and holding it, it completely removes it from the device. I just want to customize which apps appear on my various Focus wallpapers.

As far as I can tell, you can only set them up when you first create the Focus Lock Screen/Wallpaper combo.
