New IOS 16 haptic noise on long press

when doing a long press on the screen for example in messages when reacting to a text, or on Home Screen when holding down an app till it pops out the secondary features, my iPhone 12 Pro now makes a clicking sound even when the side sound switch is in silent mode. I’ve looked on haptic sound options but don’t see how to make the adjustment. This is a new noise that wasn’t present in iOS 15. Help!
