You can either:


1) Obtain a new USB-C power adaptor to work w/ your new cord, or …


2) Use an older USB-A power adaptor with a USB-A to Lightning Cable from any previous iPhone.


Your iPhone can be safely charged with ANY Apple USB power adaptor ever produced (ranging from 5 watts to nearly 100 watts)


However, to obtain the fastest charging on your new phone, you’ll need 20 watts.
