Apple Music Account and Apple ID

I had an apple music account with my android. I recently switched to an iphone and am trying to connect my apple music account with my new apple ID on my phone. How can I do this? Should I just cancel my apple music subscription and re-subscribe?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. To sign in to Apple Music, you need only sign in to your Apple ID on the iPhone. The guidance is provided per the Apple Support article: Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

"Sign in on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Open the Settings app.
Tap Sign in to your [device]
Enter your Apple ID and password.
If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in."
