iOS 16 destroyed my iPhone XR

Has anybody had this happened to them? I replace the screen a few months ago so the screen isn’t an issue. It was only after updating to iOS 16 that the response and swipe feature was virtually nonexistent anymore. Everything is sticky and lags. Anyone that has a remedy for the situation, other than a hard reset I’d like to knowasap!!!!! Help

There are reports of that third party screens, particularly on the iPhone X/XR are not working with iOS 16. In the release notes of iOS 16.0.2 is a fix for this problem, so you can try and connect your iPhone to a pc or Mac to update it to 16.0.2

  3. Select your device in the left sidebar of the finder window
  4. click general, then click check for update
  5. Click download and update.

A small work around that might work.

  1. Go to Setting
  2. Accessibility
  3. Touch
  4. Activate Touch accommodation
  5. activate "Use initial touch location"

If it's hard to navigate with touch screen, try using Siri to at least get you to Accessibility page.

This used to work for me but sometimes it disables itself after a call so you would have to go back to activate touch accommodations.

iOS 16.1 destroyed my phone completely. iPhone S. SEE I can’t even type this. I have to use voice text as the right side of my screen is not completely gone. I cannot scroll through anything the phone lags for several minutes to half an hour. It will open and close browsers now completely on it sound like somebody else is controlling my phone, it will click on things that I did not click on. I can’t even slide the slide bar to turn the phone off because the screen will just completely freeze. The phone is completely destroyed because of the update it is 100% the update everything was perfect. I updated it and instantly all of these problems occurred. I go into settings. I try to click delete software I click delete it says delete and then I go back. It’s still there. I click delete like 26 times. It’s still there I cannot reverse the iOS updates and like I said a phone that still has 70 gigs free it’s just totally useless and there’s literally no solution at all to fix it

Thank you for the reym rely my pee does not work with n the screen still the P or backspace the right hand side of the screen is gone. Then randomly the phone will completely freeze. I have to rotate my phone on the left side. But I can’t some times randomly it will completely lock up. My wife’s iPhone 10 after the update is now doing the same thing. When I am on safari it will also select webpages open random ones on their own? I am at a complete loss with the freezing, lagging weird bugginess of the phone now.

Yes, Siri still works and in the settings I turned on voice activation. The weirdest thing happening after the update is let’s say I’m in YouTube. And I’m watching a video that’s 20 minutes long. The phone by itself. Will pause a playing video. Scroll down scroll up. Select something completely else from what I’m watching. Enter it load a totally separate webpage. Scroll around on that page and then completely lock in freeze. I’ve never had this issue until that update, and then with voice activation, I’ll say go back and then eventually when it’s done being locked up it’ll go back. For instance, just now I’ve been using voice text and randomly the phone locked up again can’t click post can’t undo the voice text. It’s just totally frozen which I would say is a separate issue from the phone opening closing and scrolling different webpages even if I’m on the home screen where your icons are it’ll all of a sudden as if I’m holding down one of the buttons do you know when they start to shake and you can delete or move your icons it’ll do it randomly on its Own, it’s like somethings severely slow down my phone and it’s trying to catch up all the taps that I did I don’t know but the only thing that would truly fix it is the ability to undo iOS 16.1, but they don’t allow that anymore..
