Put sim in iPhone 8 from iPhone 5 , it says it’s locked

Just to be clear, it’s your iPhone 8 which is locked to IT’s original carrier.
THAT’s the carrier who can release the lock.
If you’re not a current, active, paying customer of THAT carrier, you’ll likely find this to be a challenging endeavor.
