iMessage not giving notification for 2 people only

I’m using iPhone 13 w latest iOS 16.0.2. I used have the 2 people in my favourite list and as emergency contact.

I get notifications and sounds from all other people while using iMessage.

I’ve never had any problems with other contacts. My password hasn’t been compromised and I’ve changed it.

this started occurring when someone is accessing/hacking my phone.

I’ve never given out my password nor clicked on any link I don’t know. I’ve changed all passwords in my app. I’ve done a factory reset.

the hackers are able to

change my playlist music when I’m like to a song. My song gets changed.

they have dialled my contacts while I’m walking around. I didn’t dial nor pocket dial.

they have done searches in safari and tried to download apps in the App Store.

I turn off my cellular data and this has stopped them from doing these things to my iPhone.

I changed my password and tried playing music and this notification came up. I don’t have work or school account setup. I don’t know what jailbreak is.

can I get help please!!

Hello I_need_help_now1,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with security concerns and notifications not working as expected. To start, if you think your account is compromised, please follow the steps here to resolve the issue:If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

You can also contact the Apple ID Security team here: Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support

As for your notifications, make sure you do the following to resolve the issue:

  1. Make sure the affected app(s) supports notifications. Go to Settings > Notifications, select the app, and make sure that Allow Notifications is on.
  2. If notifications are turned on for an app but alerts aren’t received, Banners might not be selected. Go to Settings > Notifications, select the app, then select Banners.
  3. Make sure the affected notifications are not set to “Deliver Quietly”:Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  4. Make sure the device is not muted.
  5. Make sure you're signed into your Apple ID.
  6. Verify the iPhone is reporting correct date and time (test on "Set Automatically" settings)
  7. If you have an Apple Watch, notifications go to either the Apple Watch or iPhone, but not both:Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
  8. Make sure there are no active Focus states when you expect to receive notifications: Use Do Not Disturb with Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.
  9. Make sure the affected notifications are set to use a default Apple-provided iOS tone that plays successfully in Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
  10. If the issue involves specific contacts, check the contact card to determine if a custom tone is set for the contact. If so, test the issue after changing this to Default.
  11. If the issue involves specific Messages threads, make sure the thread is not muted: Leave a group text message thread on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.
  12. Verify VPN connection (if any) is turned off.

If those steps don't resolve the issue, follow these as well:

  1. Turn off all affected devices for at least 1 minute and then restart them. Test again afterward with a few different apps.
  2. If the issue persists, go to Settings > Notifications > choose the affected app(s), disable notifications, then re-enable them.
  3. If the notification issue only occurs with a third-party app, contact the app developer for further assistance.

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
