I have a 2nd generation iPhone SE and just upgraded to iOS 16; I set up several new wallpapers but can't switch to them; when I go to Settings it shows just the current wallpaper. How do I switch to the others I created?

On the Lock Screen, press and hold on the screen until the lock screen zooms out, then just swipe left and right to change between the wallpapers.

I found the trick - from the Lock Screen I tap twice - one short, one longer - so I see the message “unlock to edit”. I then tap one more time and the login shows up (touch or passcode). I log in and it presents me with the “customize” wallpaper and I can switch to a different wallpaper or add a new one.
It’s not happening - on the Lock Screen if I press & hold I get a notice at the bottom to “unlock to edit” and after a couple seconds of pressing/holding, the screen goes black. There’s no zooming out.
