Pairing apple watch

When trying to pair to my new Apple Watch, it automatically tries to have me sign in to a Apple ID that I have not had for several years now. It won’t let me change the Apple ID. When viewing my Apple ID that is signed in on my iPhone, there is no other email address listed. What do I do?

iPhone 6, iOS 12

You can ask apple to remove the activation lock online on this page;

Remove the Activation Lock Here.

Or this;

If you can't remember/gain access to the apple id that paired the watch to the phone.Take the watch and it's receipt with the serial number along with some photo id and any other proof of ownership to an Apple Store and request that they remove the Activation Lock for you.
