I need to add a new Visa card and remove the old card

If you do not have Wallet linked to your Apple ID, you can manage your payments in Settings > Name > Payment & Shipping. If you have active subscriptions or you are the Organizer of FS, you must add a card before you can remove the current card. If you are experiencing issues with updating the payment method in Settings, you can also update it online at https://appleid.apple.com/.

However, if Wallet is linked to your Apple ID, and you wish to completely remove this card and/or the card is no longer valid, you will need to first remove it from Wallet, to unlink Wallet from your Apple ID. Doing so will then remove the card as primary payment on file with your Apple ID, and the card will no longer be eligible for use with Apple Pay.

This can be done in Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > click on the card > scroll to the bottom and select Remove this Card. You can add your new card to Wallet for use with Apple Pay, and also use it on your Apple ID.
